I have found this in my mothers big and I do mean big book of Christmas stories and poems. She collects them.
On the twelfth Day of Christmas, My true love saved to me:
12 bags of laundry
11 shirts to iron
10 canning jars
9 rugs to beat
8 pies to bake
7 walls to paint
6 floors to scrub
5 shirts to mend
4 logs to split
3 ties to make
2 dinner parties
and a partridge to clean, stuff, and cook
