"That" Time of Year Once Again

Yes, as we know Valentines is coming up once again, and for some reason it comes up every year. Somehow I do think that singles all over the world would agree with me when I say: "Boycott Valentines Day!" Guess what we have, by calling it: "Singles-Awareness-Day." Just so you know.

Now I have found a list of books to read for *cough* Valentines Day *cough.* To be honest I haven't read many of these books.   One of the books that was listed was "Beastly." Many reasons why I didn't like this story, (I tried to but failed). One of the reasons that bothered me about this story, was at the beginning of the story where the main character gets groped, and there was drugs and alcohol in the story.  Yeah, I was uncomfortable just reading about it; to say the lest, I don't recommended this book at all.

So now that *cough* Valentines Day *cough* is approaching fast, (Men, get the roses and chocolates ordered for your love), but I do have my own list of good reads for all ages. Yes, ALL ages. You can however be the judge. I like them for not only for entertainment, but they are clean. I just don't like to read junk.

  1. The Princess Bride
  2. Book of a Thousand Days
  3. Fairest
  4. My Fair Godmother
  5. My Unfair Godmother
  6. The Mark
  7. Much Ado About Nothing
  8. Austenland
  9. Mr. Darcy Vampyre
  10. As You Like It

That is it for this years list of good *cough* Valentine *cough* (I must have a frog in my throat??), reads. I could make the list longer, but that would be boring to read a long list.

Now in a previous post I have given a list of entertainment for Single-Awareness-Day.   I have now a new updated list. If you will, a list for all; a mixture of not just books, but poetry, and movies alike. Yes, once again ALL ages, and no junk. Once again they are about lost love, unrequited love, (admit it we all have been there), and just plain silly. So silly, it doesn't have anything to do with love/Valentine.

  1. The Unvalentine
  2. The Lady of Shalott
  3. The Glass Bottom Boat
  4. Walk Don't Run
  5. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (why? you may ask, Answer....It's another view of Hamlet. By the way it's on Youtube, in parts).
  6. The Disgusted Driver's Handbook--Instructions For Surviving On The Roads Infested With Idiots
  7. The Blue Day Book: A Lesson on Cheering Yourself Up
  8. Lost in Austen, (it's also on Youtube).
  9. Arsenic and Old lace
  10. Rapunzel's Revenge
There you have it. My 2013 updated list. I must admit I really thought about the Single-Awareness-Day list, the earlier post about Single-Awareness-Day list of book's & movies I didn't need to think.  Once again you can enjoy my list or by all means, make up your own. These are just suggestions.

So don't forget the ice cream, or popcorn, and enjoy!

Cheers Everyone!
