April, Autism, and Poems

This month is not only autism awareness month but also national poetry month. So all month long comes from Stephanie Abney to write different poems. Yesterday was to write a Haiku poem. Haiku poem is a traditional Japanese poem, Stephanie Abeny explained it this way:

Haiku is a popular form of Japanese poetry. It usually centers around a nature theme, but you can make one up about anything. Haiku poems don’t rhyme; they follow a pattern.

The pattern for haiku is as follows:

Line 1: 5 syllables
Line 2: 7 syllables
Line 3: 5 syllables

You need to pay attention to the number of SYLLABLES, not words.

So in honer of April being both autism awareness month and national poetry month, I have written this:

Autism is a disability.
Autism, blue puzzles, April.
Blue, pants, shirt, and socks!

Cheers Everyone!
